Kate Beckinsale has seemingly faced a health issue recently that landed her in the hospital.
In an Instagram post Monday, Beckinsale celebrated U.K. Mother's Day, which was Sunday, by sharing pictures and videos of her mom and dogs. She also shared photos of herself from a hospital bed.
"Happy birthday and UK Mother's Day this last week to my incredible mother. Thank you to those that love us and support us when it’s (expletive) and try to make sure there are some bits that aren’t," Beckinsale wrote in the caption. "And for looking after our dogs when we can’t, and lead us to remember happy things when we can’t. And turn up when we are sick and sit with us. And send balloons and check in and pull us out of wells with love."
In her post, the 50-year-old British actress did not elaborate on when she was hospitalized and for what reason.
USA TODAY has reached out to a rep for Beckinsale for comment.
A ruptured ovarian cyst, back injury have previously landed Kate Beckinsale in the hospital
In January, the "Underworld" franchise star also shared photos of herself wearing her Golden Globes gown several days before she announced the death of her step-father, film and TV director Roy Battersby.
Back in 2019, she had to miss the Screen Actors Guild Awards due to being hospitalized for a ruptured ovarian cyst. "Turns out a ruptured ovarian cyst really hurts and morphine makes me cry," Beckinsale captioned a photo of herself in a hospital bed. "So thankful to everyone who looked after me."
In 2021, she shared the details of another hospital trip due to a back injury while appearing on "The Late Late Show with James Corden."
"I was in my hotel room putting on a pair leggings and then it felt sort of like a guitar string snapped and everything was horrific, I mean worse than having a baby bad," she said.
She couldn't walk, lie down or sit down, she added, so when the ambulance arrived medics had to pick her up in a sheet "like a sausage" and put her on a gurney.
Beckinsale posted about her hospitalization on Instagram the previous month but didn't share details at the time. "Feeling a lot better. Thank you so much for your kind messages and love," she wrote in the caption of a selfie that showed off her hospital bracelet and IV.
